This historic mining access track winds through the remote Southwest wilderness to the abandoned Adamsfield settlement, once Tasmania's most isolated mining town. The route traverses dense temperate rainforest and boggy sections with remnants of old mining infrastructure scattered throughout. Expect challenging conditions with deep mud holes, creek crossings, and sections that can become impassable after heavy rain.
Track becomes extremely boggy and potentially impassable during winter months and after heavy rainfall.
